Ebi Debunks Super Falcons Boycott Rumour! Video

Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has debunked the rumours making the rounds that the Nigerian team is planning to boycott their first game at 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

In a video posted on the NFF Twitter handle Ebi denied the claims.

“Honestly I have no idea where It came from we’ve never had such conversation among ourselves,” Ebi said

“So I don’t know where that came from we are only preparing for the World Cup.

“Saturday morning training was intense, motivating the players are in shape and good spirits so we are ready to go. The training can speak for itself because we know that is what we bargained for, very intensive training.”

Super Falcons will take on Canada on July 21 at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

They have participated in all editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup since the inaugural showpiece in China 1991.

Their best performance was a quarter final berth at the USA ’99 tournament.
