Super Falcons To Play Sao Tome And Principe In WAFCON Qualifier

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to play Sao Tome and Principe in the first round of the 2024 WAFCON qualifying series in September.

The aforementioned tournament will take place in Morocco next year. The Super Falcons have won the competition nine times (1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018).

CAF Women’s Football revealed the information on their Twitter handle.

“The #TotalEnergiesWAFCON qualifiers are here Who will secure their place in Morocco,” the Tweet reads

Morocco also hosted the previous edition of the tournament in 2022 in which South Africa emerged champions.

The Super Falcons are currently in Australia as they prepare for the FIFA Women’s World Cup which takes place in Australia and Zealand July 20 to August 20.

They are in Group B alongside Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland.
