Edouard Mendy joins Chelsea from Rennes (photos/video)
Premier League giants Chelsea have completed the signing of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Mendy joins Chelsea on Thursday, September 24th.
The Senegalese goalkeeper who is 28-years-old joins Chelsea from French Ligue 1 side Rennes.
Mendy signed a five-year deal keeping him at Stamford Bridge till 2025.
He is expcetd to compete wth Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero for the starting goalkeeping spot.
Speaking to the Chelsea website Mendy said, ‘I am so excited to be joining Chelsea. It’s a dream for me to be a part of this exciting squad and to work with Frank Lampard and all of his coaching staff. I look forward to meeting my team-mates and can’t wait to get started.’
