Former Senegal and Liverpool striker, El Hadji Diouf has revealed that a former Super Eagles captain is most talented African player he has ever seen since his birth.
The controversial figure named Jay Jay Okocha as the most talented African Footballer in the last three decades.
Diouf said this in an interview with Press-Sport on Friday.
According to him :
“When I said that I am the most talented I did not say that I was the best. I spoke French the most talented does not mean the best. The two best African players of this decade is Samuel ETO’O and Didier DROGBA but on the other hand the most talented one cannot say that it is not EL AHDJI DIOUF It is impossible. The most talented African football since I was born it’s JAY-JAY OKOCHA. He’s the most talented player I’ve ever seen but he won’t won a trophy, he didn’t win the gold ball…”
Jay Jay Okocha featured for the Super Eagles between 1993 and 2006 where he scored 14 goals in 73 appearances. He also won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994 as well as BBC African Footballer of the year in 2003 and 2004.
