Players and Staffs of Enugu Rangers once again held a minute silence in honour of their former player, Ifeanyi George who died in an auto crash on the 22nd of March, 2020.
Ifeanyi George died along the Benin-Agbor expressway en route to Lagos after the Nigeria Professional Football League went on break due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
The players and staff of 2016 Nigeria Professional League Champions en route to Lagos for their match against MFMFC took a minute silence on the spot where the unfortunate incident took place.
This was made known in a post via Enugu Rangers’ official Twitter page a few minutes ago.
We stopped over at d spot (Evbobanosa) junction along Asaba-Benin road where our late attacking sensation, Ifeanyi George, breathed his last just few days to mark the first and of his death to observe a minute silence with prayers for the repose of his soul on our way to Lagos.Β

Recall that the management of Enugu Rangers presented a cheque of N20m to the family of Ifeanyi George as part of the club’s insurance policy some months after his death.
A sum of N10m was given to his immediate family, N8m for his daughter’s education while his girlfriend received a sum of N2m.
