Ex-Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani officially joins Red Bull Salzburg! (See pictures)

Austrian Bundesliga side, Red Bull Salzburg have officially confirmed that former captain of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglet, Samson Tijani has joined the club on a five year deal.

All Nigeria Soccer had earlier reported that the 18 year old agreed a five year deal with the Austrian side in February.

Red Bull Salzburg have now confirmed that Samson Tijani has signed a five year deal which will keep him at the club until the 31sr of May 2025 after he was unveiled today at about 1p.m Nigerian time.

The club’s official statement reads;

“The 18-year-old feels particularly comfortable in the role of the six and is characterized by his dynamic and uncompromising style of play,” Red Bull Salzburg stated.

“He has already displayed his quality in ten appearances for the U17s in his home country, with which he moved up to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup and the round of 16 of the World Cup.”
Samson Tijani was scouted at the Under 17 World Cup in Brazil last year by Die Mozartstädter and he joins three other Nigerians: Karim Adeyemi,  Bryan Okoh and Chukwubuike Adamu at the club.
