The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have won the Bronze Medal at the 2023 U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Flying Eagles walloped Tunisia 4-0 on Friday March 8 at the Cairo International Stadium.
Ibrahim Muhammad scored the first goal of the game in the eighth minute and Ahmed Abdullahi doubled the lead in the 46th minute.
Jude Sunday subsequently scored a brace to seal the victory for Nigeria.
This is Nigeria’s third time of winning the bronze medal at the tournament.
The final will take place between Senegal and Gambia on Saturday March 9 at the Cairo International Stadium.
All four semi-finalists qualified for the 2023 U-20 FIFA World Cup which will hold in Indonesia between May 20 and June 11.
