Reims striker Folarin Balogun is relishing the switch of his international career allegiance to the United States of America ahead of Nigeria and England. Balogun’s decision to represent the USMNT was revealed recently.
Balogun confirmed the decision subsequently on his Twitter handle.
“So proud to be a part of this! It has been a long journey to reach this point but it is with great Pride I can now represent these colours at the highest level. I am tied-in and fully committed!. See you in June,” he Tweeted
Balogun was born in the USA to Nigerian parents but he grew up in England.
He has represented England at the U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-21 levels. While he played for the USA at the U-18 level.
He has scored 19 goals and registered two assists in 34 French Ligue 1 games this season.
