Former Eaglets star, Arokodare arrives Belgium ahead of Anderlecht move
Nigeria’s Tolu Arokodare, currently the highest goalscorer in Latvia with 15 goals is in Belgium ahead of a possible transfer to Anderlecht before the window closes by midnight on Tuesday.
The 19-year old levelled with Tosin Aiyegun who held the record for most goals by a Nigerian in single season in the Latvia Virsliga since 2015 after scoring in the 2-0 win over Jelgava on the 23rd of last month.
European clubs such as Toulouse, Angers, Amiens and Slavia Prague are monitoring the progress of Arokodare but, according to La Capitale, the young rising Nigerian striker’s move to Vincent Kompany’s club is imminent.
Arokodare, former Golden Eaglets striker, missed his Latvia outfit Valmeria last two matches after recently embarking on a strike in a bid to force a transfer to Anderlecht, insisting his mind is set on the Brussels club but his club subsequently threatened to drag him to FIFA.
The transfer window in Belgium will close tonight and reopen on September 8 till October 5.
