Mikel Obi might be on his way to English Championship side, Stoke City according to reports in England.
A top source said his move to the Britannia stadium is subject to medical and a deal agreed upon afterwards.
Mikel last played in England for Middlesborough in the English Championship in 2019 after he returned from Chinese Super League side; Tianjin Teda in 2018.
The former Super Eagles captain last played for the Turkish side, Trabzonspor but left the club on mutual consent after he refused to play at the height of the Coronavirus Pandemic in March.
The 33-year-old and former Chelsea legend has 11 goals in 451 club appearances.
