If you think Victor Osimhen is the only Nigerian striker in great goal-scoring form this season, then you have not heard of Gift Orban. The 20-year-old striker has been sensational since he joined Gent in the January transfer window. Gift Orban was on the scoresheet not just once but thrice as Gent recorded a comfortable win over Cercle Brugge on Saturday.
Gift Orban has scored a third hat trick for Gent this season in the Belgian Pro League game with Cercle Brugge.
Gent walloped Cercle Brugge 4-0 on Saturday, May 13 at Jan Breydle Stadium.
Hugo Cuypers scored the first goal of the game in the 41st minute while Orban scored a second half hat trick.
This is Orban’s third hat trick for Gent after scoring four goals against Zulte Waregem and three against Istanbul Basaksehir.
Orban has scored 13 goals and notched two assists in 14 Belgian Pro League matches this season.
Gent are first in the Belgian Pro League standings with 37 points from 37 games.
