Super Eagles forward Gift Orbam has been nominated for the 2023 CAF Young Player of the Year Award.
The 21-year-old striker was nominated alongside nine other fast-rising young African talent for the coveted award.
Gift Orban had a remarkable outing with Gent last season. Despite joining the Belgian club in the second half of fhe season, the Super Eagles winger was an instant impact.
Orban scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for the club as helped them finish fifth in the league and a quarter-final place in the UEFA Conference League.
The young striker recently ended his goal draought in the league but has been prolific in the ongoing Europa Conference League with 5 goals in 8 games.
Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi are former recipient of the award.
