Remo Stars Football Club of Ikenne once gain showed they are the kings of the Southwest derby in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Alimin Sikiru eventually got hos brace in the 63rd mimute and the lanky striker finished calmly from a deft back heel touch from Sodiq Ismail.

The match ended 3 nil as Remo Stars returns to the summit of the league with 12 points after five games.

In other results, Akwa United hot their first win of the season with a narrow victory over Gombe United at the Eket Stadium. Fatai Osho’s men won 1 nil courtesy of Kufre Ebong’s 35th minute strike.

Enyimba’s miserable start to the 2023/2024 season continues as the defending champions match away at Niger Tornadoes ended in a stalemate.
