Daniel Jinadu, Nigeria Golden Eaglets first-choice goaltender at the 2019 U-17 World Cup is one of seven of West Ham United’s Academy scholars to sign their first professional contracts with the Premier League club.
Shot-stopper Jinadu, who completed three games for Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, as well as midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson; defender Harrison Ashby; defender Sam Caiger; midfielder Dan Chesters; defender Will Greenidge; and defender Under-18s captain, Joshua Okotcha all penned the deals.
“Daniel Jinadu has spent a lot of time training with the U23s this season. He came in and played five U18s games in goal, including saving a penalty against Aston Villa in December. He’s a very consistent, hard-working and intelligent goalkeeper.”
The former Chelsea starlet was born in Nigeria seventeen years ago and had played for England at U-15 and U-16 levels before he switched loyalty to Nigeria just ahead of the U-17 World Cup.
