Hapoel Jerusalem star Adeleye Adebayo set for pre-season tour of Poland
Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper, Adeleye Adebayo will in the coming days embark on a pre-season tour of Poland and Lithuania with his Israeli club.
The tour, which is expected to serve as part of the club’s preparation for the coming season will offer coach Ziv Arie the opportunity to see new players closely and perfect strategies that will help the club punch above its weight in the elite division.
The Super Eagles goalkeeping prospect revealed that Hapoel Jerusalem will play series of tune-up matches with the top Polish club before proceeding to Lithuania for the next stage of camping exercise.
“We shall be embarking on a pre-season tour of Poland and Lithuania where series of top grade matches will be played,” he told this reporter in a telephone chat.
The 21-years old was a delight to watch between the sticks last season and he played a huge role in Hapoel Jerusalem’s promotion to the elite division. The former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper remains the toasts of the fans in Jerusalem after he recorded 19 clean sheets in 32 last season.
The young goalkeeper who conceded 17 goals throughout the season has also indicated his readiness to fight for a starting shirt in the Super Eagles when the opportunity present itself.
Sparta Rotterdam Maduka Okoye occupy top spot in the pecking order of goalkeepers in the senior national team, but Adeleye’s rare talent is expected to give Gernot Rohr enough options to pick from.
