Watford and Ivory Coast defender, Hassane Kamara has reflected on his club’s win over Wycombe Wanderers in a pre-season game.

Watford,who have been relegated to the Championship defeated League one side Wycombe Wanderers 4-1 at London Colney.

Senegalese player Ismaila Sarr scored the first goal of the game via a penalty after he was brought down in the 18 yard box.

The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the Hornets.

Sarr completed his brace after the break, beating the Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper with a rolling effort.

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis made it 3-0 with a well taken tap -in.

The Chairboys were able to pull one back after Ryan Tafazolli made it 3-1 but Yaser Sprilla’s goal giving Watford an emphatic victory.

In an interview with Watfordfc.com Kamara said the win would increase the players confidence ahead of the new season.

“We are happy because we won today,” he said.

“It’s very good for our confidence .

“We have to keep it,we have to keep this flavour.

“So we have to work and take this confidence during the Championship.”

Kamara scored one goal in 19 Premier League appearances last season.

Watford finished 19th in the Premier League with 23 points from 38 games last season.
