After Manchester United 2-3 dramatic victory at Brighton yesterday that saw the Red Devils get a penalty courtesy VAR after the final whistle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer poked fun at Jose Mourinho who he thanked for not being around to measure the goal post.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said this after Brighton hit the crossbar give times in the game and how the former Manchester United manager measured the goal post in Tottenham’s Europa League in midweek against Shkendija.
Solskjaer said;
First of all you have to be happy that Jose is not here to measure the goal posts โ it might have been a smaller goal!”
Tottenham goalkeepers complained that one ofย the goal posts was far too low which made the Portuguese manager checked for himself and complained to UEFA officials afterwards before it was replaced.
Mourinho’s response;
I think he would prefer a 22-yard box. For him, it would be better.”
