Al Roker had previously worked for CBS as a weather anchor when he rose to prominence in America. CBS was a Syracuse, New York-based WHEN-TV affiliate. This occurred between 1974 and 1976. He was a SUNY Oswego student at the time. He finished his studies and moved to Washington, DC, where he worked as a weather forecaster at a private station of WTTG.
