What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a digital payment system created by Apple Inc in 2014 which is designed to help you make fast and secure transactions online or at stores through Near Field Communication. Apple Pay comes as a replacement for credit and debit cards (including pin and chips) which are more or less the traditional method of making payments.

It allows you to send and receive money from family and friends through Apple Pay in Messages although this is only applicable to US residents only.

With Apple Apple Pay, credit card number, name of cardholder, address, or any other personally identifying information, is not required which makes it more secure than conventional payment methods.

You don’t have to go out with a credit card or confirm the authenticity of a credit card with a driver’s license or Identification card, because all of that information has already been stored on the iPhone and they are secured by several built-in security systems.
