Hypocrisy! See why Nigerians are dragging President Buhari over 2015 tweet
Nigerians are calling out President Muhammadu Buhari over his January 2015 tweet in which he criticised then President Goodluck Jonathan following the abduction of the Chibok girls.
Candidate Buhari, who was then aspiring to become president had tweeted thusly:
“How can 219 girls be missing in our country, and our leader appears incapable of action? #ThingsMustChange”
This is poignant against the backdrop of sustained kidnap of students in recent times with Thursday’s kidnap of over 300 girls from a school in Jengebe, Zamfara state.
Before that, a school in Kangara, Niger State was attacked and students and teachers abducted. These are a few of the kidnappings which is threatening to overrun the country and for which the government appears powerless and incapable of stopping.
Nigerians have gone to dig up this old tweet and are pillorying the President for not acting swiftly to stop the constant kidnapping, the same accusation he levelled against the former government.
