I prefer to play in this position – Kelechi Iheanacho

Super Eagles and Leicester City forward: Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed the position he prefers to play on the pitch.

In recent times, the Kelechi Iheanacho’s position has been a subject of debate among football fans. While some see him as a striker, others prefer to see him play as an attacking midfielder- the position he played at the 2013 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates where he scored six goals.

While speaking to popular comedian: Funnybone in an Instagram live chat, Iheanacho said he prefer to play in the number 10 role.

In his exact words: The position I am playing now, let me not lie to you, it pains me. You know what just one goal means. Playing the number 10 role is good because you pass the ball and create chances … I really enjoy playing number 10.”

On the flip side, Kelechi Iheanacho has not done badly playing as a forward for Leicester City this season, he has 8 goals in 18 appearances for the Foxes so far.
