Iheanacho initiated Leicester City’s resurgence in the second after they fell 4 nil to the champions in the first half. The former Manchester City forward provided the assist to James Maddison in a blistering counter attack to make it 4-1.

Kelechi Iheanacho yet again provided another assist but this time, to fellow countryman Ademola Lookman which made it 4-2.

The Nigerian wasn’t done with his former team as he scored from rebound in the box to make it 4-3.

However, just when Leicester City thought they could complete what could have been a sensational comeback, Manchester City scored two more goals to round-off the entertaining fixture.

According to Optajoe, “Kelechi Iheanacho is the third player to both score and assist in a single Premier League game against Man City having previously appeared for them in the competition, after Paul Dickov for Leicester in 2003 and James Milner for Liverpool in 2016
