Junior Lokosa Bags Brace As Sporting Lagos Demolish Kano Pillars!

Junior Lokosa put forth a brilliant performance against his former side, Kano Pillars as he scored a brace in Sporting Lagos big win.

The match was quite a one-sided affair at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan and the home side with the backing of their fans made the atmosphere uncomfortable for the former league Champions.

It took just 11 minutes before the first goal of the day came in and Junior Lokosa was in prime position to tuck the ball in to register his second goal of the season.

Apparently Sporting Lagos took advantage of the leftover “anointing” from the church program held on their ground a day before because the goals kept coming.

Jonathan Alukwu continued his brilliant start to the season as he scored in the 26th minute to double the lead of Sporting Lagos.

The young forward was the quickest to react to a rebound in the box and he made no mistake in putting the ball in the back of the net.

While Kano Pillars were trying to put themselves out of misery, Sporting Lagos struck again and Junior Lokosa was the architect.

The striker was left in space on the edge of Kano Pillars’ goal area, he received a pass from the left flank before releasing a ferocious strike to make it 3 nil after 31 mimute!

The second half was a mere formality as the Sporting Lagos cruised to another home with three goals, three points and a clean sheet.

Even though Junior Lokosa bagged a brace, Jonathan Alukwu was very impressive. The striker has now scores in four consecutive games for Sporting Lagos.

Sporting Lagos are currently 6th on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 11 points after 7 matches.
