An Oyo State High Court has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to pay popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo who is popularly referred to as Sunday Igboho over the invasion of his residence in July.
The order was given by Justice Ladiran Akinola in a suit filed by the activist who is currently in custody in Cotonou, Benin Republic following his arrest at the airport in an attempt to travel to Germany.
The court also dismissed an application filed challenging its jurisdiction to hear the suit.
All but two of his aides arrested during the raid have been released by the DSS. The other two remain in the custody of the DSS after they were charged with terrorism.
Sunday Igboho is still in Cotonou as he awaits the final judgment from the Beninese court.
