Super Eagles defender, Kevin Akpoguma has been ruled out of the forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Liberia and Cape Verde.
The versatile defender will not be available for selection after he tested positive for COVID-19.
This latest development was confirmed in a statement via Hoffeinham’s official Twitter page on Monday.
The club stated that Akpoguma was fully vaccinated before his latest test result turned out to be positive. It also that the player is in good condition and has gone into quarantine at home
Kevin Akpoguma is the only player to be ruled out of the two matches at the moment aside from the Premier League stars who won’t be on the plane to Praia for the match against Cape Verde. See full details here
