Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for Leicester City in their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium in a Premier League encounter played on Saturday, July 4th.
Leicester City were yet to win a game since the restart of the league.
They dropped points in their last three outings and needed a win to stay in the top four.
Iheanacho was given a starting role by Brendan Rodgers after he scored against Everton in midweek.
The first half ended goalless but it was Iheanacho who would break the deadlock in the 49th minute when he converted a ball through to him by Youri Tielemans.
The strike means Iheanacho now has double figures for the first time since the 2015/16 season. He has contributed 10 goals four assists in 22 appearances.
Iheanacho was substituted for Dennis Praet in the 64th minute.
Jamie Vardy would go on to score two goals both created by Harvey Barnes in the 77th and 94th minute to give Leicester City a comfortable victory.
