Maduka Okoye wins Sparta Rotterdam’s Player of the Season!

Super Eagles shot-stopper Maduka Okoye has been named as Sparta Rotterdam’s Player of the recently concluded 2020-2021 football season.

The Dutch Eredivisie side took to its Twitter handle to announce as the 6ft goalkeeper was presented with the golden boot.

Maduka Okoye was instrumental to Sparta Rotterdam in the league last season as he kept 10 clean sheets in 28 appearances in the league.

The German-born Nigerian is among a list of Super Eagles players including Kelechi Iheanacho, Simy Nwankwo, paul Onuachu who won the Best Player and Top Scorer Awards in the Belgian League, who did well fir their respective clubs last season.

He is expected to keep his place in between the sticks as the new football season approaches.
