Manchester United rob Brighton at the Amex to earn first win of the season!

Manchester United got their first win of the season Inna rather dramatic fashion as they robbed Graham Potter’s Brighton in broad daylight!

The Red Devils, for most part of the game were abysmal and pedestrian to say the least as they struggled with the high press of the Seagulls.

Neal Maupay who unfortunately became the villain on the afternoon gave Brighton a well deserved lead via a spot kick after Trossard strike hit the crossbar early in the first half.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men laboured to get a the equaliser before half time but they didn’t even score – Lewis Dunk provided them with an own goal.

Marcus Rashford gave the away side the lead in brilliant fashion in the second half as he benefited from a sublime pass from Bruno Fernandes from deep.

The Seagulls continued to knock on the door for the equaliser and just when the Red Devils thought they already have three points in the bag, Solly March, who had an exceptional performance, gave the home a late goal to draw level -2-2!

No doubt Brighton deserved a point at least in the game but United like a thief in the “night” without weapons, robbed them of their point after the referee had already blown his whistle for full time.

Harry Maguire’s header via a late corner brushed off Neil Maupay’s left hand and within a twinkling of an eye, VAR awarded Manchester United a penalty which Bruno Fernandes converted to make it 2-3.

If Sharia Law were to be used in deciding this robbery incident, then maybe Harry Maguire, the VAR and the referee himself will  be on way their to jail right now.

What a match!
