Massive blow for PSG as Neymar, Di Maria and Paredes test positive for Covid-19
Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt a blow ahead of their return to Ligue 1 action after Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes all tested positive for coronavirus, according to Spanish daily Marca.
The three players are now complying with all the necessary health protocols and will go into quarantine for 14 days.
Neymar, Di Maria, Paredes and the rest of their PSG team-mates have been on their holidays since losing the Champions League final 1-0 to Bayern Munich.
Even PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Lens, which was set to be played on August 29, was postponed so that they could rest for a few more days.
The problem is that some members of the squad extended their holidays away from France, with the three players concerned having enjoyed a few days in Ibiza.
Some of them, like Neymar, even posted photos from the island on social media.
