Mumini Alao bags PhD in Mass Communication
The Group Managing Director of Complete Communications Limited, publishers of Complete Sports and allied publications, Alhaji Mumini Alao has bagged a PhD in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Lagos.
At the 51st Convocation of the University held on Thursday, 8 July, 2021, Alao’s was one of 148 Doctorate degrees awarded including four honourary doctorate degrees.
The four honorary doctorate degrees awardees are Dr. Biodun Shobanjo; Alhaji Mohammadu Indimi, OFR; Sir. Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu and Dr. Ameyo Stella-Adedevoh (post-humous).
Alao, a veteran journalist of over three decades, wrote his doctorate thesis on the Influence of Audience Preference on Media Coverage of Domestic and Foreign Football in Nigeria.
Apart from his successful print journalism career, Alao is also a published author. His Soccertalk column on contemporary issues in Nigerian football, is one of the longest running in the Nigerian sporting press.
He was also a Board member of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.
