Napoli Target Another Super Eagles Striker After Osimhen’s Departure

Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare as a replacement for the injured Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian striker is set to miss at least three months on the sidelines after he suffered a high-grade injury to the rectus femoris in his left thigh in Napoli’s preseason friendly against Olympiacos last week.

Napoli are looking to add Arokodare to Antonio Conte’s squad with Lukaku out for a while and Osimhen off to Galatasaray on a permanent move after a successful loan spell with the Turkish champions.

Consequently, the Serie A champions are in the market to get a new striker with a few weeks to the end of the summer transfer window, and Genk’s Tolu Arokodare is being considered.

The 24-year-old has been linked to move away from Belgium after a brilliant outing last season, where he finished top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler League with 23 goals in 43.
