NBA season postponed as Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tests positive for Coronavirus

The 2019/20 NBA season has officially been suspended following news that Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the pandemic Coronavirus on Wednesday, March 11th.

The NBA league body on Wednesday met with the team owners to discuss precautionary measures required to avoid fans and players at risk of getting exposed to Coronavirus at large gatherings.

The games were expected to be played in empty arenas starting on Thursday, however, before the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz, it was confirmed that Gobert tested positive for Coronavirus just before the game started.

Players of both teams had to be tested and eventually quarantined before the NBA came to the decision that all games will be postponed till further noticeNBA.
