Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is on the verge of returning to the Premier League after he relegated with Leceister to the English Championship last season.
Reports suggest that the 26-year-old Nigerian midfielder has already agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest ahead of the official bid to Leceister City.
Football transfers expert, Fabrizio Romano also confirmed Nottingham Forest’s interest in the player as Steve Cooper looks to strengthen his side before the transfer window shuts on August 29.
The detail of Nottingham Forest’s proposal to Leicester City is unknown but negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing as they look to agree on a deal for the player quickly.
Ndidi had a below-par performance last season as he spent some period off the pitch due to injuries and lack of form from the Nigerian.
However, Ndidi was very instrumental for Leicester City as they won the FA Cup and FA Community Shield under a former manager, Brendan Rodgers.
The Nigerian midfielder joined the Foxes in the summer of 2016/2017 from Genk in the Belgian Pro League. Ndidi has made over 160 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Wilfred Ndidi is set to become the fourth Nigerian player at Nottingham Forest following the arrival of Taiwo Awoniyi Emmanuel Dennis and Ola Aina.
