English forward Stephy Mavididi scored the last goal of the match in the 67th minute to complete the rout.
Ndidi’s goal on the night is first in the English Championship this term after six matches. In his previous match, the 26-year-old midfielder scored and provided an assist in Leicester City’s 2 nil victory over Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup.
He was also instrumental to Nigeria’s 6 nil victory over Sao Tome and Principe as the Super Eagles rounded off their Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in style. Ndidi was not on the scoresheet but he provided the assist to Ademola Lookman’s goal in the match. He also gave the pass that lead to the penalty which Victor Osimhen converted.
Leicester City are top of the Championship table with 15 points from six matches in the division.
