The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced the passing away of the Chief Coach of the Super Sand Eagles, Audu Adamu Ejo.
This was made known via NFF’s Twitter page.
The post reads;
“We are sad to announce the demise of Super Sand Eagles Coach Audu Adamu Ejo after a brief illness. Late Coach Ejo contributed immensely to the development of Beach Soccer in Nigeria. Our thoughts are with his family and the Football community. May his soul Rest In Peace 💔💔😭 “
Reports suggest that late coach Audu died on Saturday at an undisclosed hospital in Ayingba, Kogi State.
He was appointed coach of the Super Sand Eagles in 2009 and he won Nigeria’s second beach AFCON title subsequently.
He also led the team to three COPA Lagos tournaments and six FIFA Beach World Cup tournaments.
