President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shuaibu and other administrators went on an inspection tour of the newly-renovated Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The stadium is billed to host matchday three of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Leone Stars of Sierra-Leone on the 13th of this month.

Amaju Pinnick, the deputy governor and other officials checked the state of the facilities in the stadium.

The last time the Super Eagles played at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium was on the 12th of November 2011 in an international friendly match against Botswana. The match ended in a stalemate.

It was the late Steven Keshi’s first match as the new coach of the Super Eagles then.
