Nigerian born Giannis Antetokounmpo has emerged winner of the 2019/20 NBA NBA Defensive Player of the Year award
Giannis was presented with the award in front of his teammates on Tuesday, August 25th.
Giannis who led the Milwaukee Bucks as the best defensive team in the NBA beat Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz and Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers to be crowned the winner.
He became the fifth player to win both NBA MVP and NBA DPOY in a career, joining Kevin Garnett, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, and David Robinson.
