Sadiq Umar finished the month of January with 7 goals in 5 matches as he helped his side Almeria remain in the top four of the Spanish second division.
The 2016 Olympic silver medalist has been in imperious form this with 11 goals and 4 assists in 21 appearances so far this season for Almeria.
Sadiq Umar is currently fourth on the scorer’s chart behind Sporting Gijon’s Uros Durdevic with 16 goals, Espanyol’s Raul de Tomas, 14 goals and Cartagena’s Ruben Castro who has 12 goals.
Almeria were without the Nigerian striker yesterday but they comfortably thrashed Albacete 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Juna Villar and Sergio Akieme.
