Nigeria’s Adesanya suffers 1st loss to Blachowicz at UFC 259

Nigeria’s born Newzealand Mixed Martial (MMA) star Israel Adesanya has suffered his first loss in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Adesanya has been undefeated since he joined the UFC and dominated the middleweight division.

He decided to move up to light heavyweight and face champion Jan Blachowicz in UFC 259 in the early hours of Sunday, March 7th.

The fight lived up to the hype but Jan Blachowicz had a significant size advantage over Adesanya and he made it count with several takedowns.

Blachowicz won by Unanimous decision to hand Adesanya his first professional loss.
