Nigeria’s D’Tigers crash out of Tokyo 2020 Olympics after 80-71 loss to Italy

The news is about Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team known as D’Tigers.
In the early hours of Saturday, July 31st D’Tigers suffered an 80-71 loss to Italy in their final group game at the Olympics.
Italy took the first quarter 29-17 but D’Tigers bounced back to take the second and third quarters 11-22 and 16-24.
Italy would however take the fourth quarter 8-24 and closeout in style.
The loss means that D’Tigers are out of the basketball event after suffering earlier defeats to Australia and Germany.
