OTD in 2019, Nigeria’s D’tigress beat Senegal 60-55 to win FIBA Women’s Afrobasket title (video)
On August 18th, 2019 Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team D’tigress won the Women’s Afrobasket title.
D’tigress beat their Senegalese counterparts 60-55 in the final.
The first quarter ended 14-10 to Nigeria and they also won the second quarter 18-14.

In the third quarter, Nigeria won 16-13 and although Senegal won the fourth quarter 18-12, D’tigress held on for the win.
Star for D’tigress in the final was Evelyn Akhator who recorded 14 points and nine rebounds.
