Nigeria’s Frank Onyeka inspires Midtjylland to Champions League group stage (video)
Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka was on target for Danish side Midtjylland as they secured a Champions League group stage berth for the first time in their history.
In their final qualification game, Midtjylland faced off with Slavia Prague.
The first leg ended goalless but the second ended 4-1 in favour of Midtjylland.
It was Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka that put Slavia Prague in front in the third minute.
In the 65th minute, Sory Kaba equalized from a ball by Awer Mabil.
Kaba missed a penalty in the 81st minute but Alexander Scholz converted another penalty in the 84th minute.
In the 88th, Frank Onyeka scored the third from a ball by Anders Dreyer.
Dreyer scored the fourth from an assist by Bozhidar Kraev.
