Nkwocha Cheers Super Falcons On At 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Super Falcons legend Perpetua Nkwocha has urged the Super Falcons to go for victory at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20. It is the ninth edition of the tournament.

The Nigerian team has been placed in Group B with Australia, Republic of Ireland and Canada.

Ucheibe wished the girls a good outing on her Twitter handle.

“I want to use this medium to wish our own Super Falcons and the entire coaching staff a good outing in the 2023 FIFAWWC in Australia & New Zealand. It’s time to show the world how determined, talented you are. Go all out and give your best. I wish you all injury free games,” the Tweet reads

Nkwocha is the Super Falcons record goalscorer with 80 goals in 99 games. She also represented Nigeria at four FIFA Women’s World Cups.

The Super Falcons will play the Canucks of Canada in their opening game at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on July 21 at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

The Super Falcons are the only African team to reach the quarter-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

A feat they achieved in the USA ’99 edition when they were defeated by Brazil 4-3 in the quarter-final duel.
