Yusuf Abdulazeez has joined Swedish top tier team Mjällby AIF from Gombe United of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The transfer of Abdulazeez was finalized on the deadline day for an undisclosed fee agreed upon with Gombe United, according to a statement released by Mjällby on Monday.

Mjällby AIF welcomes the Nigerian striker Yusuf Abdulazeez to Listerlandet! The striker has signed a contract that runs until the 2025 season.

The 20-year-old striker joins from Gombe United, which belongs to the Nigerian top league.

Mjällby AIF and Gombe United agreed on a transfer fee for Yusuf, the club said.

He signed a three-year contract that will keep him with the team till 2025.

Abdulazeez played for Gombe United last season, when he scored sixteen goals in the NPFL to help the team place eighth overall.

Hasse Larsson, the sporting director at Mjällby, said the team has been keeping an eye on the young attacker for a time and is looking forward to him contributing to the team.

Despite his youth, Yusuf has excellent statistics and stats from Nigeria. Sporting director Hasse Larsson said, “This is a player we think can make a difference both in the short and long term.

Due to work permits and residency permission cards, Abdulazeez is not anticipated to arrive in Sweden until the weekend.
