Former Super Eagles midfielder has signed for Kitchee FC in the Hong Kong Premier League. The former Lazio midfielder joins Kitchee FC after a brief stint with Bahraini Premier League club East Riffa Club.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been unveiled and he will jersey number 12 ahead of the new football season.
Kitchee FC is Ogenyi Onazi’s 8th club since 2011 after he joined Lazio from My People FC. The 30-year-old midfielder has played for Trabzonspor and Denizlispor (twice) in the Turkish League before making a move to Sonderjyske in the Danish League in the 2020/2021 season.
The box-to-box midfielder won the 2013 Africa Cup Of Nations with Nigeria and he also featured at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Ogenyi Onazi made a total of 43 appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria after he rose from the Golden Eaglets team that came second behind Switzerland at the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup which was hosted by Nigeria.
