Enyimba defender Desmond Ojietefian says he wants his club to win the Nigeria Premier Football League again in the 2023/24 season.
The People’s Elephant won the NPFL title in 2022/23 season after topping the playoffs table with nine points from five games.
Ojietefian made a transfer move from Oyo state based club Shooting Stars to Enyimba FC in the summer transfer window and he is keen to get his taste of silverware with his new club.
In a video posted on the Enyimba X (formerly known as Twitter) handle Ojietefian said his ambition is to win the league title.
“My aim and vision this season is for Enyimba to is to retain the league,” Ojietefian said.
“I know this team is an ambitious team and I am an ambitious person also so in here to win the league with Enyimba Football club.”
The People’s Elephant’s first game of the 2023/24 NPFL season was supposed to be with Bendel Insurance on September 30 but the match was postponed due to Bendel Insurance’s continental engagements.
Enyimba’s first NPFL game this season will be against Gombe United on Sunday at the Gombe Township Stadium Pantami.
