Okocha, Yobo, Praiz bring their expertise to SuperSport’s Euro 2020 coverage

Euro 2020 has reached its knockout rounds, and the last 16 teams are already battling for a place in the quarter-finals. England v Germany is one of the stand-out clashes in this competition, with many experts backing England to progress.

On SuperSports Euro 2020 coverage, some of Africa’s finest football legends –  Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Sammy Kuffour, Joseph Yobo and Yaya Touré have been providing expert analysis on the games, dishing out insights and opinions on key moments and missed opportunities. Ex-Super Eagles captains, Jay-Jay Okocha and Joseph Yobo joined Mozez Praiz to make up the Nigerian contingent on the coverage show.

Okocha is regarded as one of the greatest Nigerian footballers of all time. He began his professional football career in the local league in 1990 with Enugu Rangers. Okocha later signed with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in December 1991 and amazed spectators with his spectacular display and dribbling skills. JJ Okocha went on to play in major European leagues  around the world and represented Nigeria at 1994, 1998 and 2002 World Cup games.

JOSEPH YOBO

Yobo joined Premier League side Everton, in 2002 after short stints at  Standard Liège, Tenerife and Marseille.  For many years, Yobo was one of the most consistent players in the Everton squad and played every minute of every game during the 2006–07 EPL season. Joseph Yobo also played for Fenerbahce and Norwich city before hanging his boots.

At the end of the 2010 World Cup, Joseph Yobo was named captain of the Super Eagles and led the team to victory at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. The defender has over 100 caps for Nigeria and represented the Super Eagles at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

Also representing Nigeria at the presenter’s table is Mozez Praiz, a seasoned SuperSport studio presenter and current host of SuperSport’s only multi-sports and entertainment magazine show in sub-Saharan Africa Sport On.

Mozez has covered several football events including, the Africa Cup of Nations from 2010-2017 and FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010.  He has also presented the English Premiere League, La Liga, Serie A amongst others. Mozez Praiz will lead studio guests as they offer their wealth of insight and opinion on the Euro 2020 matches.
