
Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has gifted Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin N30 million for her performance at the just-concluded Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria clinched their record 10th title.
Tosin Demehin played a crucial role in defense alongside Osinachi Ohale as the Super Falcons reclaimed their throne in African women’s football.
After receiving $100,000, a national honor (OON), and a three-bedroom flat from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tosin Demehin has been awarded another set of honors.
Governor Aiyedatiwa honored Tosin Demehin with a cash prize of N30 million and a house at Sunshine Estate, Ile-Oba.
Meanwhile, the governor also announced a cash reward of N15 million to Mary Akinsola, the Super Falcons’ media officer, and Mary Oduboku, the team’s secretary, who are also indigene of Ondo State.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa announced the reward when the trio visited him at the State House in Akure, where Demehin presented him with her jersey and medal.
