Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was given the man of the match award in Napoli’s UEFA Champions League win over FC Braga.
Napoli edged FC Braga 2-1 on Wednesday, September 20 at Estadio Muncipal de Braga.
Osimhen launched a header into the path of the net in the 10th minute which was saved by Braga goalkeeper Mattheus Magalhaes.
The Nigerian had another shot subsequently in the first half but it hit the bar.
Giovanni di Lorenzo scored the first goal in of the encounter towards the end of the first half.
Portuguese winger Bruma equalised for Braga in the 84th minute.
An own goal by Seydou Niakate four minutes later made it 2-1 in favour of Napoli.
Osimhen was adjudged the man of the match for his performance during the game.
He has made one Champions League appearance this season.
Napoli are currently first in Group C of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League with three points after matchday one.
