Osimhen Set To Earn €10m Per Year With New Contract Only A Signature Away

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is set to sign a new contract with Napoli which will see him become the highest paid player in the history of the club.

After weeks of negotiations between Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda, an agreement has finally being reached between both parties for an improved contract extension for the 24-year-old striker.

Italian football transfer expert, Gianluca Dimarzio broke the news on this Twitter page as he revealed that only Osimhen’s signature is delaying the contract from being official: “#Calciomercato | @sscnapoli , only the signature for the renewal of #Osimhen is missing. All the details fixed in the last few hours: the new deadline will be 2026 and the Nigerian will receive more than 10 million net”

Recall that Osimhen has two years left in his five-year contract which he signed in 2020 when he joined the club.

The new contract will see the Nigerian striker earn €10m until 2026 and he will become the highest paid player in the history of the club. The contract, according to report has a €150m release inserted into it which is a bid to ward off potential suitors from bidding for the player in the opening year of the contract.

Osimhen led Napoli to its Serie A title in 33 years last season with 26 goals which earned the prestigious Capocannoniere award.
